Rousillon is a place of intense ochre coloured earth in the South of France. It was used as a pigment to colour the inner tubes of car tyres. These two works use the ochre pigment and maps to create the two works - one with lines like layers of earth and the other a fingerprint echoing our history of using ochre as a pigment from stone age cave paintings to the present day.
